My Winter Essentials

With as much snow as we've gotten this month alone, I am relying on my Winter essentials to get me through the cold weather. Living in a dorm means a lot of community, so when one person gets sick, everyone gets sick. In order to keep my immune system strong, I take an Ester-C pill twice-a-day*. As a result of coming in and out of the cold air, my skin tends to get dry and chapped. Cetaphil moisturizing lotion is the only thing I've found that keeps my skin moisturized all day without making it oily. It is also fragrance free which is a plus for those who like to wear a perfume or a cologne. Next is my fresh lavender hand cream. I originally bought this at Target over the holiday season and have fallen in love with it! It's small enough that I can keep it in my bag during the day and use it whenever my hands are feeling a little chapped. For my lips I use Burt's Bees honey lip balm in the morning and at night. The honey flavor is my all-time favorite.

As far as accessories go, I'm all about staying warm. My gloves I received as a gift a year or two ago and simply love. The black and white pattern looks classy and pairs well with all my coats. They are also "technology gloves". This means that I don't have to take them off to use my iPhone or my iPad. Next is my Rose Gold Fossil watch. To be completely honest, this watch is going to be one of my essentials for every season of the year. I received it as a three-year anniversary gift from my boyfriend and wear it with almost every single one of my outfits. Not only does it have irreplaceable sentimental value, but Rose Gold is my favorite metal. Next are my warm winter socks that I received for Christmas from my boyfriend's Nanny. They keep my feet nice and toasty all day long. My ivory winter scarf I've had forever. It is a winter staple that I can easily wear with all of my coats and it does a nice job of keeping me warm without being smothering.

My last essential is Yogi Vanilla Spice Perfect Energy tea. I make myself a cup every single morning and add a little bit of honey. It's what keeps me going throughout the day.

XOXO,
